To become an A-List member, first choose your membership plan — A-List 250, A-List 500, or A-List 1000. Then pay for your annual membership and your membership plan to populate your account with A-Dollars and secure your membership benefits.

A-List members have exclusive access to curated experiences and can redeem A-Dollars for tickets to dinners, tours, parties and other events. Members can purchase additional guest tickets and must be in good standing to access perks. To book experience tickets, visit the Experiences page, select your experience and redeem your A-Dollars. Your tickets will be emailed to you and your account balance updated.

The membership fee is used to cover overhead costs of the A-List program including the cost of an event liaison to coordinate and attend all A-List experiences to ensure the high standards you expect from A-List are not only met but exceeded.

A-List members support Avenue magazine and help us continue highlighting the best of city life and celebrating local businesses. Membership creates a community of connected Calgarians and offers networking opportunities with other A-Listers.

A-List memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase, regardless of your A-Dollar balance. Memberships must be renewed annually to remain active and to have access to A-Dollars and A-List perks. Your membership date is shown in the Account Management section of your member dashboard, which you can see when you&aposve signed in to your account. You will be reminded by email of the upcoming renewal date. Up to 30 days prior to the renewal date, you may pay the annual membership fee and choose and pay for a membership plan to add A-Dollars to your account.

If you do not renew, your account will be deactivated, but you may reactivate the account at any time. Any unused A-Dollars will remain in your account and will be available for use once your membership is reactivated.

Purchasing A-Dollars in advance allows us to commit to experience hosts, estimate event needs, and deliver a greater number of events based on member commitment.

A-Dollars are the funds in your membership account that you can redeem for A-List experience tickets. They are immediately available after you become a member and can be used as long as your membership is active. A-Dollars can be redeemed at any time for experience tickets.

A-Dollars cost $1 each. Bonus A-Dollars are available with larger purchases: 525 A-Dollars for $500 and 1,100 A-Dollars for $1,000.

No, A-Dollars are not refundable but do not expire as long as your A-List membership is active. Unused A-Dollars remain in your account as long as you have an active membership.

The program will launch with at least 20 experiences in the first year and we will increase the number as more members and partners join. Experiences include signature Avenue events, exclusive member dinners, tours, cocktail parties, behind-the-scenes access and other experiences.

A-List experiences include gourmet dining nights, behind-the-scenes tours of Calgary locations, workshops with local experts, cocktail parties and more. All experiences feature a special wow factor. We also value members’ feedback on the types of experiences we will create.

The number of experiences you can attend depends on which A-List experiences you choose and how many A-Dollars you purchase. With an A-List 500 purchase, you should be able to attend three to four experiences.

Yes, you can buy guest tickets to A-List experiences, but guest tickets must be purchased with cash. A-Dollars can only be used for members’ own tickets. Guest tickets will automatically be grouped together for seating if applicable.

You can purchase up to four memberships under one account — these memberships are then linked and tickets can be coordinated and purchased together. All of the memberships under one account need to be purchased the same A-List benefits plan. This allows the account administrator to reserve experiences for all of the members under their account.

Because we must commit attendee numbers to our experience host partners, once you have booked an A-List experience, it is not refundable. However, you may transfer your ticket to another individual.
