Get a true insider view of Alberta Ballet's Canadian premiere of artistic director Franceso Ventriglia's The Wizard of Oz. A-List members have the opportunity to tour the backstage areas of the Jubilee and then attend the Dress Rehearsal of the show. This is an experience usually reserved for Alberta Ballet donors but opened up for the A-List.
The Dress Rehearsal is a unique experience — it is the dancers' final run through of the show in costume on the stage before the curtain goes up in front of the full audience. Expect the show to stop and start as the artistic director runs the dancers through their paces, fine tuning their performance and giving the final tips and advice to perfect the performance. You may hear some of these tips — in English and Italian — as Ventriglia works with the team on the Canadian premiere of his own production of The Wizard of Oz, right before you.
